Advertising For Free - Tips

For most of us new internet marketers, paying for advertising is always a problem because you are either broke or you are not willing to pay for it until you are certain the system/product/service you’re promoting really works. I remember asking myself whether there might be ways to advertise without spending money because I was broke. A friend of mine then shared with me a few tips that he uses that are free and easy to do.

1. Free Classifieds Sites.
These are sites that you can post your advert for absolutely free of charge. Do a Google search for free classifieds and put your ad in as many as possible.

2. Traffic Exchange Programs
Well with traffic Exchange programs you submit your URL and surf a list of sites to earn credits for your website to be displayed. I have set an hour or so every week to surf sites in traffic exchanges to earn credits. You might also get to learn about some nice websites or programs while doing it, who knows?

3. Replying to SPAM emails
This is the most interesting of the lot. My friend calls it ‘giving the Spamers a taste of their own medicine’. What you do is set up a free email account with yahoo that you not going to use for anything else. Then go into these ’safe lists’, advertising forums and leave your newly created email there. Then set up a vacation message in your email account. It could be something like;

I am away right now, I will check out your offer when I return. But in the meantime here is a great product/service that I fully recommend. Check it out at … and leave your URL.
Best wishes
Your Name

Then what happens is each time you receive a message an automatic reply like the one above will be sent out and in the process advertising your business.

I know most of these adverts don’t get to be read, but a few sign-up or sales here and there, can be realised and remember they are free so they are worth a try. But above everything else, the success of any promotion will really depend on the kind of product your are advertising. If you sell something that nobody wants, you are most likely not going to find much success but if its a product that people see the value of, your success rate will be much higher.

Ezine Advertising - 3 Simple Tips To Successful Ezine Advertising

There are many powerful ways to get targeted traffic to
your website and ezine advertising is on the top of that
list. What follows are a few tips to help you boost the
results of your ezine advertising efforts.

Tip #1 - Before you do any type of ezine advertising, you
should always subscribe to the list first. This way you
can do some research such as find out how many ads if any
are in each email, how many times they send out during
the week, how many subscribers are on the list and the
price of advertising in the ezine.

Tip #2 - You should try and place ezine advertising in
publications that contain only two or three ads maximum
per issue.

Always start off any ezine advertising with the most
affordable spot first. If you get good results, then you
can go for the higher priced advertising once the ezine
has proven itself. By the way, you can get a great up to date listing of
thousands of ezines at “directoryofezines.com”.

Tip #3 - Make sure that you never try and sell directly
from your ezine advertising. Your ads should have one
purpose and that is to capture the name and email address
of as many visitors as possible.

To accomplish this, you should offer a free report in
your ads, then have the traffic go to a short web page
where they can sign up to get the freebie. This way you are building your opt in list and will be
able to your results by one thousand
percent or more.

One other thing you should also do is set a comfortable
monthly ezine advertising budget. Make sure you are
getting a good return on your investment before sinking
a ton of your hard earned cash into ezine advertising
that doesn’t provide you the desired results.

Affiliate Marketing Tips - Are You Advertising Through Cement?

Strange title, I know. And if you’re sitting there scratching your head, wondering what the heck I’m talking about, don’t worry. By the time you are done reading this article, you’ll know exactly what I mean. Way too many affiliate marketers do just that…advertise through cement and then they wonder why they can’t make any sales. Well, I’m going to show you what you’re doing wrong so that you don’t do it anymore. Fair enough? Okay, then let’s begin.

First, we need to define what I mean by advertising through cement. Well, let’s use the actual cement as an analogy. Let’s say you have to knock down a cement wall in your home because you want to add a new room. What are you going to knock it down with? If you went to your kitchen drawer and took out a screwdriver, how long do you think it would take to knock down that wall, IF you even COULD knock it down? Let’s face it, you can’t knock down a cement wall with a screwdriver.

Okay, but where are we trying to do this when it comes to our advertising? Well, here’s one example. Let’s say you’re an affiliate marketer in the make money online niche. Now, I don’t know if you’re aware of this or not, but this niche is very competitive. If you were to use pay per click advertising for this niche, you’d have to pay $1 per click just to get on page one. Now, since you’re only promoting a $47 product, there is no way you can pay that much per click. You’d go broke. So you pay less to get on page three let’s say. Problem is, nobody sees your ad. You’re advertising through cement and nobody knows you’re on the other side of that wall.

This is just one of the many reasons why so many affiliate marketers fail. They use advertising methods that either don’t work, or are so darn expensive for their niche that they either go broke making sales or they don’t get any traffic at all because their ads aren’t being seen. You’re fighting a losing battle if you’re doing this.

So make sure your advertising efforts aren’t being wasted or at least come prepared with the right tools to break through that cement.

To YOUR Success,

What Every Business Should Know About Bait and Switch Advertising

Bait and switch advertising is a form of false advertising because what the merchant intends to sell is significantly different from what which drew the potential customer. Bait and switch advertising laws apply to all forms advertising including, print, direct mail, and television.

Some unscrupulous business try to get around these rules through different schemes, but often find themselves in trouble. There are state laws, the Federal Lanham Act, and FTC rules that attempt to regulate this particular practice.

The law regulates these practices and does not necessarily require that the advertisement have words that are misleading. In one case the advertisement showed three pieces of furniture for sale, but upon arriving and making a purchase the buyer discovered that only one piece of furniture was included in the advertised price. There was no text, just pictures and this was deemed to be bait and switch, since the merchant only intended to sell the one piece for that advertised price not the three piece set of furniture. In another case bait and switch was found when the merchant convinced the customer to purchase more expensive items by making the advertised items unattractive in appearance.

The FTC defines bait and switch advertising as meaning alluring but insincere offers to sell a product or service, which the advertiser in truth does not intend or want to sell. Its purpose is to switch consumers from buying the advertised merchandise in order to sell something else on a basis more advantageous to the advertiser. The purpose of the advertising is to obtain leads. Most states courts use these guidelines in determining whether or not a violation under state law has occurred. Even if the particular state where the advertisement took place does rely on this definition, a violation can occur under the FTC.

The FTC has also set rules to determine if a bait and switch advertisement has occurred. These factors are as follows:

(1) has the merchant refused to show, demonstrate or sell the produce offered in accordance with the advertised terms of the offer;

(2) has the merchant disparaged the advertised product or service by acts or words or disparaged the guarantee, credit terms, availability of service, repairs or parts;

(3) did the merchant have adequate supply or clearly disclose the supply on hand;

(4) did the merchant refuse to take orders to deliver within a reasonable time of the advertised product;

(5) did the merchant demonstrate a product which was defective, unusable or impractical for the purpose represented or implied in the advertisement;

(6) did the merchant have a sales plan or method of compensation that discouraged or penalized sales people that sold the advertised product.

Bait and switch has been applied to case where a lender advertised one rate and changed the rate at a later time. In another case a sales person sold a trailer and the boss called the customer and denied the salesperson’s authority to make the sale. Not delivering what was ordered was deemed to be a bait and switch. This often occurs where the merchant upgrades the product, but even so it would be deemed to be in violation. This often a recurring theme on eBay where the seller often switches the product to a higher quality product without the buyers consent.

How Does One Create Wealth From Advertising Online?

There is no doubting the fact that the Internet has opened up some amazing new opportunities for many entrepreneurs with the huge number of people who visit sites. Still the really tricky part has been mastering the art of advertising online to create wealth for oneself or their business and company.

This is because I has become clear that advertising on the World Wide Web is not quite the same as advertising offline through traditional media like newspapers, radio and Television. So in order for one to create wealth advertising online, they would need to understand the rules that govern advertising online.

One of those important rules is to stick to advertising that is not “loud”. Folks online hate to be advertised to and the less something looks like advertising the more effective it will end up being. This is the reason why promotional articles are amongst the most effective online advertising tools. The advertising turns out to be the links in the resource box at the end of the article, which points back to the site being advertised. Almost every online advertising and marketing campaign will tend to include promotional articles which are designed both to generate traffic as well as back links pointing to the site that is being advertised to create wealth.

Another excellent way of advertising to create wealth is the use of classified ads. Classified ads are usually brief and strictly compartmentalized under a specific section. In fact even in print media many people treasure classified ads as a source of information and contacts for services required. The same can be said about online classified ads and this is the reason why we have huge classified ads only websites that are very popular.

Each article creates a strong link that search engines then see and give you a higher ranking.
If you do more and more this serves to boost your site and help stamp out competition.

The competition are always just a handful of people, as the vast majority of people give up the battle without being persistent and consistent.

If you are creating videos then create videos on a regular basis and upload them to popular video hosting websites - again another hot method.

Both of these concepts involve a simple train of thought. be consistent and persistent.

Advertise where there is a hungry market, and look for responsive people - this is all a game where you have to try and swing things in your favor. Tick one off, do another, but above all be consistent.
If you can do something in 15 minutes a day, then do 15 minutes every day without fail!

Combine this with good advertising resources and you are onto a winner.

Online Advertising Network - Let Web Bring In Profits

With an increase in Internet savvy population, its business aspect is also picking up. Many people use the web for searching information related to products and services. It becomes necessary for the marketers to identify this user inclination. For enabling the advertisers exploit these business opportunities, online advertising network has been established.

This framework supports the interests of advertisers, publishers and users. It is a system that is tailored to bring profits to advertisers and publishers. The publishers or website owners dealing in various sectors are brought together to form an online advertising network. This system is devised in such a way that advertisers pay publishers for displaying their ads and these activities are coordinated by ad agencies.

In addition to it, the agencies are driven towards efforts to bring good response to advertisers. These efforts are done to attract relevant traffic to banner ads of the advertisers. Be it Geo-Targeting, Capping or even connection type (broadband and narrowband), each method is applied for gaining target audience. The Internet savvy population also looks for the advantages of shopping online. Many marketers have even enabled shopping through online sales counters.

Now, Internet has enabled an enhanced user experience. The interactive banner ads being published over an online advertising network, easily becomes popular. These ads serve the users to become aware of the brands. The clickable ads even direct the user to links, which provide detailed information about the products. Unlike TV ads it is viewed by the user at own discretion. This equips the advertisers to pay for the response only.

The online advertising network is so devised that target audience come across the ads while searching information. The system gives an edge to the marketers sustaining a competitive market. A mere ad spend can bring in profits and brand image to such advertisers. The lead generation is also done efficiently through such effective set of connections.

The network so formed proves beneficial for the publishers too, as they get commission for activities desired by advertisers. The publishing done over online advertising network is related with publisher’s keywords, web metrics, analytics, web space etc. Such a network brightens the chances of generating more business.

Everything About PPC Advertising

The growth of Internet marketing has resulted in the growth of pay per click as well. Big corporates too are making use of Internet marketing to promote their brands, and PPC advertising is the most popular choice for the simple reason that it is fast and effective. Where marketers invest 60% of their advertising spend in other marketing techniques, 40% of their ad spent is reserved for pay per click marketing.

Pay per click advertising is a type of search engine marketing campaign which helps in attracting traffic to a website and at the same time, helps in the branding process of the company. PPC advertising is a bid advertising format, which works on keywords. Web marketers bid on keywords which are most suitable to their website content and are in demand too. The search engines in return, provide their website a position in the search engines and charge for every click that is generated from that page.

Pay per click advertising is popular because it provides worth for the money that is spent on it. The benefit of having pay per click advertising is that you only pay for the qualified leads. This makes the system cost effective and profitable to users.

The biggest threat to PPC advertising is from ‘click fraud’. It is a spamming technique which generates irrelevant clicks that are accounted to the user’s account but are irrelevant and untracked. Every year millions of dollars are lost due to this fraudulent techniques which apart from hampering individual business, affect th global economy too.

Before getting into PPC Advertising it is important that the web marketers have a good understanding of the system and put in efforts that will provide good results. While the web marketers are planning a ppc campaign it is essential that they do a good research of their website, select keywords that are profitable yet less in demand. Ranking for a high demanding keyword is more difficult than ranking for a low demanding keyword. For best results of your pay per click advertising, you can also appoint professional PPC firms which will take care of your campaign and ensure best results for your business.

Loose Lips Sink Ships

It was a huge issue during World War II and should be a big issue in your business. If the word innovation is used in your business, the idea that there are people out there wanting to know what you know and how you do it may be a real threat to your “innovation” and your advantage in the marketplace. Let’s say you are in the manufacturing business and you have the need for roll form equipment. There is probably nothing proprietary about the particular roll form die you use or the roll form taps. However, the way you use these to create the product may be proprietary. The idea that you can make a piece of equipment to order even if it is part of a workhorse series which is just that, no bells or whistles isn’t all that impressive one way or the other. That is, unless a competitor can get a hold of how the work horse is used in conjunction with the other equipment to create your innovative product line.

To some this may seem like a spy story that is over the top. To others, this is a history lesson that they could write, including the loss of business to someone who seemingly did not have good business ethics. Of course, all is fair in love and war and business is war.

When you are on a plane and talking to your business associate, it may not be wise to talk about the latest greatest ideas and innovations. You really never know who is listening in. The same goes for in a restaurant. Now this may seem like paranoia but if you have something that gives you an edge, you want to protect it at all times.

Electronic eavesdropping is the latest in corporate espionage. A few of the new ways to see what your company is doing even have catchy names. The Evil Twin, the War Drivers, the Promiscuous Client, and Bluesnarfing and Bluejacking are all ways to access your information which resides on your computer. With the advent of WiFi, it’s always enticing to head to the nearest coffee shop with free WiFi and do some work. Be careful what you log on to. If you are not familiar with these terms, look them up and also look up the protection you might need if you suspect this could be happening to you.

It doesn’t matter if you’re in the computer business creating the next generation chip or in the steel manufacturing business using a roll form die or roll form taps, you might consider protecting your computer from electronic eavesdropping. If you use a workhorse series piece of equipment in a proprietary manufacturing process, you might watch where you are when you discuss it in public. You can never be too careful.

Using Promotional Pens For Low Cost Advertising

When it comes time to get the word out about your company, a pen can help you. Pens are something that people keep for a long time, and as long as they do, he or she will have your message and contact information. Here are some reasons why using promotional pens is a great low cost promotional tool.

They come in all kinds of sizes and types. From the classier executive type at the top end, down to the stick options at the lower end of cost, you are sure to be able to find the style and type of pen you need to fit your budget. These pens now come in a wide range of attractive colors and are sure to be kept around by the new owners - of most any age group.

Get an attractive promotional pen and you can be sure that friends and family members will see it. This means that your message is getting out - over and over again. With your company’s logo and other information on it, you are reaching multitudes of people - for a low price.

These can be obtained for just a few cents each - depending on how many you buy. When you are looking for an item for a trade fair, for your office, or to give away to your clients, there is a wide variety to choose from enabling you to find one that will match the occasion. Even better is the fact that you could choose a different pen for each of your various marketing needs - and never need to use the same pen style twice.

Ordering low cost promotional pens means that you could get as many as about 7 or 8 pens for a dollar - after the printing fee is paid. You can put your company’s logo on it, too, or to keep it even lower cost, just have the company print your contact information on your desired product.

People are usually glad to receive pens - because they know that there is always a need to have one nearby. Whether they use it at home only, or carry it with them or keep it at his or her office, it will be continually fulfilling its role - promoting your company wherever it goes. Because of its demand, you can be sure that they will be just what your company needs for its next advertising promotion.
